| Free Rein Studio originated as a simple floorcloth business in 1989 from Angie Nelson's kitchen table as a means for her to be a stay at home mom while taking a break from her interior design career. She never found the need to go back to work after discovering her passion for creating hand painted custom rugs. Floorcloths produced in her studio grace the floors of homes and showrooms from coast to coast. Angie is inspired by her love of the American west, her animals and rural southern roots. She has gained national attention with her unique approach to floorcloth design and commissions are her specialty. Her artistic talents and creative input makes her custom hand painted floorcloths distinctive works of art and future heirlooms. For nearly two decades, Angie has designed and executed commissions for individuals, mail order catalogs, design firms, furniture stores and manufacturer's showrooms across the country. Clients have included Your Exceptional Home, The Old Wagon Factory, LL Bean, Lexington Home Brands and Slifer Design. |
